Slow Down and Create More
On the joy of tender, intentional creativity and community
Over the last few years, I’ve become increasingly insistent on cultivating and protecting time to slow down and create in community. Writing is mostly solitary, and I’ve found reading and discussing poetry along with writing alongside others to be one of the brightest parts of my life. The Poetry Apothecary Writing Community stemmed from my desire to intentionally cultivate a warm, welcoming space to others who wanted the same. After two years of monthly generative writing circles, I’m excited to expand our offerings so you have more ways to slow down and improve your craft in a tender hearted community.
New Opportunities to Write & Slow Down
In addition to workshops, classes, prompts, and subscriber-only content, Poetry Apothecary members will now have access to:
• Group feedback and editing sessions every two months
• Quarterly community open mics
• Opportunities for quarterly 1:1 editing with me (Poetry Patrons only)
All classes and workshops are recorded, and I offer a mix of evening and weekend daytime gatherings to accommodate different schedules and time zones.

What People Are Saying
Danielle isn’t just a talented poet, she’s also a master at facilitating readings and creating spaces that feel safe, sacred, and special. - Kristine G.
Writing circle is such a fun and meaningful place. I’ve come to know incredible people and expand my perspectives with incredible poets. Danielle is a fabulous leader who cultivates warm and creative space. - Katie
I am so grateful for how these circles have offered opportunities to alchemize what is happening to us in our lives, and I am so grateful to be part of a community that Danielle continues to build with intention and inclusivity. - Lyndsey
To sustain this work and continue offering these gatherings, the membership price will increase on August 1 to reflect those additions. On August 1, the price of paid subscriptions will increase from $75/year to $125/year and from $8/month to $14/month. Anyone who joins before then will be grandfathered into the rate they sign up at for as long as they remain a member.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I am on the other side of every e-mail I send out. I look forward to writing together.
